Rüştü Kazım Yücelen
He was born in Anamur, Mersin in 1948. He spent his childhood and youth in Anamur and Mersin. He was graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Economics. After he graduated from the university, he returned his homeland, Anamur, and started public practice accounting. After practising free trade for a while, he took his first step into fuel sector with ‘Yücelen Trade Collective Company’ founded by him.
He ran into politics in 1983. He had the duty of Mersin Representative of Grand National Assembly of Turkey for 17, 18,19,20 and 21st terms. During these terms, he had the duties of 48th Government Minister of Industry and Trade, 55. Government Minister of State, Human Right Coordinator Minister of Supreme Board, 57th Government Minister of State and again in 57th Government, Minister of Internal Affairs.
